One Cold Day in Christchurch

We finally arrived at Christchurch late at night and crashed at Koo's place. She rented a room and stayed with her friendly Landlady, Judy, and her lovely daugther, Sage. The place was new, and neat, and cozy.

The weather in Christchurch the next day was miserably cold and misty. It was drizzling all morning and we had nothing much to do or visit at town in such weather.

Koo braught us to have lunch at Osaka-ya in Christchurch town. The meal was delicious and fairly cheap by Christchurch standard. NZ$9 meal set with free refillable soup and tea. The business was pretty good.

an interesting erm..art/painting/graffiti on the street

After lunch, we did a brief city tour but the weather simply refused to clear up. We went around to see the Sign of Tekahe, Sign of Kiwi, Littleton, and Sunmer. It wasn't an exciting day but it's relaxing afterall.

Christchurch was known as the most English city outside U.K. Hence I was expecting an ancient-looking city like London. However, it was more like newer cities such as Birmingham, Liverpool or New Castle city. The most English looking place in Christchurch had to be the Cathedral Square and Art Center.
